I started West Country Wood Design to follow a lifelong dream of creating furniture that would last for generations. I am a highly-skilled, professional cabinet maker with over 25 years' experience of making and restoring furniture.

My aim is to handcraft bespoke furniture to the highest standard, catering to the client's individual and specific needs. Skill, communication and understanding are key to every successful design and I pride myself on working with clients to design unique pieces which are practical and beautiful.

We offer the bespoke service for designing and making pieces of furniture to fit your exact requirements. Whether you have a sketch, photo or full technical drawing, you ideas can be used to develop a full design.

All Projects are designed using a 3D CAD drawing program prior to construction. This enables you the client, to be fully involved in the design process to produce your own unique piece of furniture, either free-standing or fitted. Whether your tastes are modern or traditional, the design can be tailored to suit most applications and budgets.

We can provide a wide range of material options from solid timber right through to veneered, laminate and manufactured boards. We have access to a vast catalogue of cabinet fittings, accessories and glazing options.

We offer a full finishing service using environmentally friendly paints and lacquers with a comprehensive colour matching service to fit in with any decor. We can match any colour from a sample of wallpaper, fabric or colour chart.

 All timber processing and preparation are undertaken in our own workshop and all deliveries and site fittings are carried out by our own fully-insured team.

We aim to operate in an environmentally friendly  manner by sourcing timbers from certified suppliers and striving to produce minimal waste.
